Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence System on 24th July 2024. The Target Missile was launched from LC-IV Dhamra at 1620 hrs mimicking adversary Ballistic Missile, which was detected by weapon system radars deployed on land and sea and activated the AD Interceptor system. DRDO has conducted a successful qualification-level load test of Drogue Parachute for #Gaganyaan programme in Chandigarh. The Ministry of Defence said that the dynamic test, simulating qualification level loads which are higher than the maximum flight loads, shows the additional design safety margin of the parachute.
